2014 C&C Owner’s NE Rendezvous

September 19-21 at Newport, RI

 

Barry Carroll of US Watercraft who breathed new life into the legendary C&C mark will speak about and exhibit new models at the C&C Owner’s NE Rendezvous September 19-21 at Newport, RI.  This will be the third annual gathering for an event that has grown rapidly in popularity with about 30 boats attending last year’s rally at Block Island from NY, CT, RI, and MA.  This year the event is at Fort Adams, Alofsin Piers, adjacent to the Museum of Yachting.  The rally features a fun mix of sailing, sponsored receptions, yachting news, and the camaraderie of like-minded performance cruisers and racers.  We welcome all C&C owners and others who have an interest in this great mark and great sport.  For more information and to register go to: www.cncrendezvous2014.com

 

Barry’s first job in the industry was working for Everett Pearson and he was one of the original employees at C&C USA. After nearly ten years at C&C, he felt the company was shifting away from its performance boat focus. With help from Mike Spicer, George Hinterhoeller, and German Frers, Carroll Marine was formed in 1984.

For nearly twenty years Barry owned Carroll Marine. Carroll Marine was known for building a long list of iconic race boats. Following his C&C roots, he worked with the finest designers of the time. Over 800 boats from the boards of German Frers, Bill Tripp (senior & junior), Nelson Marek, Farr Yacht Design, Reichel Pugh, and C. Raymond Hunt were built at CML (yes there were a few powerboats in there).
